Radio Plantsoen Festival 2011
A project by Vilco Guermandi and Maria Donata Papadia
On Sunday July 17th the audience will be brightened by the cheerful and intriguing street theatre of Babok. Their performance Grens (border) will explore the boundaries between private and public. It is a challenging and interactive performance on control, safety and danger. Ordinary objects will become characters in unusual situations. Checkpoint Babok is open for all ages and it will be performed three times during all afternoon.
Between and after Lake Montgomery with her indie blues notes, Gavin Mee an authentic grassroots trobadour and other musicians will fill the first Sunday.
The whole day there will be Italian snacks available from the neighbouring Lazagne shop and non-alcoholic drinks.
One week later, on Sunday July 24th, a public wedding will be celebrated on the plantsoen. Hendrik en Federika will give their vows in an un-ordinary way. They will bring their extraordinary friends and family to make the party complete. Everybody is invited to join the groom and his happy bride on this special day. Supercity live show and other artists will accompany the couple in this public event where you can expect any intervention..
If you dress up free extravaganza, you will blend in just fine.
M usic and shows start at 3pm and end at 8pm, the entrance to both days is free. However, it is possible and much appreciated to make a donation for the wedding-party.
